Introduction
Wond designed report for Building Back Britain Commission. This report explores the future of levelling up the new homes sector in the UK. Considering new ideas and greater investment in housing will be vital in stimulating the economy, tackling regional inequalities and meeting the country’s green ambitions.
The housing industry can lead the way in rebuilding our country, improving people’s lives across the UK and creating a fairer and greener society. As the UK emerges from the pandemic, The Commissions work is to ensure that this is the case and that housing is at the heart of the post-Covid recovery.
Brief
Wond were tasked by the Building Back Britain Commission – an independent group comprising of business leaders from Barratt Developments, Legal & General, Mace, NHBC, The Riverside Group and Thakeham to produce a report design encompassing all the data and data design features for a series of breakout reports how the government’s plans to level up the country will lead to a significant increase in demand for housing outside London and the South East. Backed up with the data and references to form an authoritative verdict.
Solution
We worked with the BBBC team and their brand guidelines to develop the visual language and style for the series of reports. We designed a bespoke report template crafting the core components of the visual foundation including layouts, typography and colour use. We applied the content for their report using this agreed design framework.
Our bespoke template designs allow us to respond swiftly to our client’s needs in an appropriate and impactful manner. We brought it to life by incorporating bespoke UK map design, photography and tables that tied in with their brand and maintained consistency for the forthcoming reports.
